The long-awaited day of the eclipse is finally here!
Today, a total solar eclipse, affectionately dubbed the Great American Eclipse due to its extensive trajectory over North America, will grace the skies. It will be visible in certain regions of Mexico, spanning across 15 states in the U.S., and reaching into eastern Canada.
Under clear conditions, tens of millions of individuals are poised to witness breathtaking scenes as the moon moves across the path of the sun, momentarily obscuring its radiant light.
“Watch live with us as a total solar eclipse moves across Mexico, the United States and Canada. Weather permitting, people throughout most of North and Central America, including all of the contiguous United States, will be able to view at least a partial solar eclipse. See views of the eclipse from sites along its path. Send us your questions using #AskNASA in the chat.”
