Mt. Hood, Oregon: Timberline Lodge is officially closed Friday following a fire that broke out late last night.
Both the local Clackamas Fire Department and the Federal ATF responded to the fire. According to officials, they believe the first reports of the fire came in at approximately 9:30, calling several fire crews to the scene.

Thanks in part to the extremely fast response time of staff and Clackamas Fire, the Historic Timberline Lodge reopens 2 days after the fire. What an amazing team effort from everyone involved in the effort. Thanks again for saving such an iconic local treasure.

The great news is that everyone evacuated safely, and that the fire was reported to be extinguished just before 11:30pm, however, the damage was done and the cause of the fire remains unknown, according to officials.
