This ridiculous new ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ violates all of our First Amendment rights by restricting the ability of citizens like you and me, and Nick, to document and even publish or report on any of the fraud or potential waste we see in public. Government officials working against the people like this is unconstitutional.

The ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ bill, AB 2624 which claims to protect immigrant services organizations/communities from “threats of violence” has already passed its earliest stages, just unbelievable.

Stop Nick Shirley Act Fines & Penalties

If this new Bill is signed into law, violators could have to pay up to $4,000 fine to the people they recorded, and could face additional criminal penalties, including up to a $10,000 fine or up to one year in jail if they refuse to take down videos or posts, or if you don’t shut up, basically.

‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ Protects “designated immigration support services” ONLY

Here’s the worst part, it’s not even a normal law that protects everyone. This high-discriminatory law only protects the few groups that qualify for registration to a new program they want to create. Talk about your tax dollars up in smoke, how many corrupt application processes and committees does one State need?

Yep, California wants to make a new program for immigrant services only, “designated immigration support services,” is what they call it. Everything from that “free” healthcare we’re all paying for to the legal assistance they get, all of it, and if they feel threatened or even just harassed, they get to file against you.

Basically, is means just speaking on film could be a crime if a protected group decides to say they feel threatened, even if they’re only saying it to cover up their crimes (allegedly).

‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ Targets Independent Journalists

Although it impacts all journalism, this clearly targets independent journalists based on the content currently trending that the MSM is too scared to publish in many cases, and it violates First Amendment rights to Free Speech, making it highly-unconstitutional.

It’s so unconstitutional it makes me want to go start filming in California just because. Watch it backfire on Gavin Newsom as thousands of journalists show up to livestream fraud!

In Portland, they can’t even stop a street takeover, just imagine when all those kids figure out they can go viral by exposing fraud! Gavin Newsom can’t stop them all imo.

p.s. An argument I heard was, “everyone is doing it so we all raised our rates…” argument is BS and all of these fraudsters should be held accountable. Everyone who’s in on this MASSIVE grift that we are all in fact paying for should go to jail in my opinion (imo)
